Elf Single Eyeshadow in Raspberry Truffle & New Small Custom Eyeshadow Duo

After almost 9 months of avoiding the cosmetic aisle, (fighting temptation) I came across the shelf of Elf Cosmetics coz I want to see if they have their powder blush in Twinkle Pink. Unfortunately they only have the coral (forgot the exact shade name) and I'm happy to see that the mineral infused primer's available now here in the Philippines. Tempted but determined not to buy any, I checked out their single eyeshadow. There were different shades from beige to purple, and one gorgeous shade caught my eye.Since I'm a sucker for smokey eyes I really dig the Raspberry Truffle shade. It's plummish brown with sheer sparkle. Perfect for Fall/Autumn EOTD. It's even on sale! It was 50% off.. so I opened my wallet.. I thought I could resist.. but couldn't..The salesgirl even told me that the shade looks good on me, coz that time I'm wearing smokey brown eyeshadow for my eyes. I'm sooooo buying it... haha!

I noticed that the shade is very much similar and is a perfect dupe for Mac's Twink single eyeshadow. I've used it several times and good thing I purchased it.

You can get this gorgeous look from Kristen Stewart since Raspberry Truffle is like
plum/purplish brown that you can easily blend well with black eyeshadow.

If I'm gonna do this look I'll be using a different shade of lippie, more of like
an ombre lip that was similar to the Nina Ricci 2012 Fall/Autumn Fashion Show
Credit goes to the owner of the pictures.

Then while walking around the supermarket I had an idea of depotting the Elf eyeshadow from its container and make my custom eyeshadow duo.
I have two glittery eyeshadows that has been my favorite from Kirkland Borghese,
and the shades are Gold Digger and Radiance. The small brush is from my Elf's eyebrow kit.

(pics captured by iphone, sorry for the poor quality)

after depotting the single eyeshadow from Elf,
the two eyeshadows from Kirkland perfectly fit in.

Tadah!!! It's so small I can easily carry it anywhere ^_^

I also got a new lippie from Etude House again, this time it's OR205. Perfect combo.

I still wish I can have my own custom palette but I want it from Mac. I'll choose Carbon, Brown Down, Cork and Espresso. I want the 2x custom palette or the 4x.
I just don't have any idea about the total cost... but I'm pretty sure it costs an arm.. or a leg.. or a neck.

Do you guys have any idea about the price of the custom palette in peso?
No time to go to the Mac Store! Please let me know! TIA!!

Summer Wedding: Copper Bronze, Sparkly Golds & Corals

If I only knew that I wouldn't use "Marasigan" for a long timeI would definitely choose a different blog name instead. Well I didn't see it coming as well. I got married last May! It was faster than a bullet one. Nobody saw it coming. It happened that fast coz suddenly I found the person that I want to spend the rest of my life with.Even if he asked me out the next day that I met him again I will still say "yes".

True love will only come once in a lifetime, and if he's the right one,you will still end up together eventually.I even got the biggest surprise of my life when I passed the pregnancy test. Hahaha!!! If I will turn back the time I will still choose the same path, having a baby and marrying the sweetest and most caring husband.
Our wedding was supposed to be the simplest one possible. I realized that if you're happy it
doesn't matter if the wedding is not extravagant, as long as both of you are deeply in love and willing to be together for the rest of your life. We just wanted to get married right away.

If I planned it well I will definitely have a different concept for our simple wedding, since my favorite colors were black and red, but since it was the peak of summer season the colors and outfits should fit the venue, and should be appropriate too, so I chose the tropical colors.

It rained hard on my big day! but since the venue's a bit far from my place it just drizzled there and the event was still romantic

Unfortunately I don't have much time and energy to plan my wedding day. I was too busy eating foods to nourish my precious little angel inside my womb, didn't stress myself either.
My aunt, cousins and mom took the part in planning. Of course, there's no such thing as perfect wedding, but it was the happiest day of my life. If one day my life will flash right before my eyes, then that day would be one of the most vivid, and one of the best. I think next will be the delivery of my baby. I hope he'll take his looks after his daddy.

**Snapshot of my wedding preparation**

I've always wanted to do my own makeup, coz I don't like others to change my face on my special day. I still want to look as"me", no extraordinary transformation or whatsoever just like what I see from the other brides. They look different on their big day coz of their makeup. As for my hair, I dunno how to do it so I asked out a very good friend of mine who does bridal hairs gorgeously.

I'm so blessed with my husband. Of all the people that I've met he's the kindest and the sweetest. We've met before but we weren't given a chance to show how much we really value each other. Fate and destiny might play with us, and only God knows who's the perfect person for us.He knows who we really need in our lives. I will never give him up and I'll do my best to become the perfect wife and the perfect mother for our baby. He gave me the most precious gift and I'm really thankful for that. I will never do anything that might hurt and harm him.

Francis, if you are reading this I really want to tell you that
I love you so much.

Experiment: Maximize your Makeups (D-I-Y Tricks)

These are tricks that I usually do
whenever I left some of my makeups at home
or I want to experiment and maximize the use of my cosmetics.
It is safe to combine different makeup products and playfully experiment with it.
Remember the rule of thumb: Mix , blend, mix, blend.

D-I-Y Nude Lipstick

I love the Kardashians for pulling off nude lips and for rocking smokey eyes.
Unfortunately, some nude lipsticks washes me out coz I’m so pale and fair.
Using my 15 concealer palette,
I try to blend it on my lips to achieve the perfect nude
that will match my complexion,
then top it off with a pink lip gloss or lip balm.
Since the palette contains different shades of nudes and neutrals,
it's easy to find your perfect match.
Just remember to bleeeeend your hearts out!!

You will need:
Concealer of your choice
Pink lipgloss or lip balm

I personally use these:

Don't tell me it's a cheap thing to do this. Even Victoria Beckham does it. :)

D-I-Y  New Lip gloss

4 years ago I discovered it on Youtube.
I forgot the youtuber's account I didn’t forget this trick.
If you are sick and tired of your lip gloss and lip balm colors
you can upgrade it and by using your pink,
red coral or gold eye shadows and pigments.
All you need is to powderize the pressed shadows
or sprinkle pigments on a pea size of lipgloss or lipbalm
then mix at the back of your hand with a lip brush.
You’ll have awesome lip glosses in no time.

You’ll need:
Eyeshadow or pigment of your choice
Clear lip gloss, lip balm or petroleum jelly

D-I-Y Liquid Eyeliner
Since my eyes are somewhat small and I think it is really crease less,
some eyeliners look too harsh and strong
that I have to soften it with a black eyeshadow.
To make a softer liquid eyeliner,
you just need black eyeshadow or any dark colored ones like
dark brown or blue
chunk it and blend with water, or visine.
You’ll need:
Dark Eyeshadow of your choice
Visine or just plain water

D-I-Y Tinted Moisturizer
Actually I need a heavy coverage foundation for my blemishes
but there are times that I need to tone it down
especially if I will just go somewhere that I don’t need makeup on
and I only need to even out my skin tone.
Tinted moisturizers are only for the gals blessed with flawless skin.
You just need to enhance it and add some glow.
You'll need:
Moisturizer
Liquid foundation

D-I-Y Cheek Stain
Sometimes, I use lipsticks directly on my cheeks and blend it with my fingers
so that my cheeks will match my lips.
But if my skin is already prepped with powder,
then it’s too difficult to blend.
To make cheek stains,
just mix moisturizers/sunscreen with a creamy lipstick then blend well.
You’ll need:
A few drops of moisturizer or sunscreen
Creamy lipstick of your choice

D-I-Y  Nail Polish
I remember when I was in highschool
I used to blend different nail polishes to get the desired colors that I want.
One time I used my experimental  nail polish on my nails and my bestfriend borrowed it.
I mixed pinks, purples and glitters I think.
The next day her mom asked me what’s the name of the shade coz she liked it.
 I couldn’t answer her of course!^^
Now I learned how to do it well and hygienically. LOL
before I’m not sure if it was hygienic and the consistency was funny
coz I didn't use nail polish solvent.
You’ll need:
Nail polish solvent
Clean nail polish bottle
Nail polishes that you want to mix together

Enjoy and save at the same time!! ^_^
