Kim Kardashian Inspired Look: Warm Tones and Apricot Lips

It's my birthday once again and I suddenly have this urge to recreate another Kim Kardashian Inspired Makeup just like what I did last year. This time I'm sticking to my signature and favorite colors and I actually haven't seen any mua or guru replicating this look. Not only that I'm a big Kardashian/Jenner family fan but what I'm actually rooting for and so inspired about is that most of their makeup looks were done by my favorite makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic. J.lo started this neutral glowy bronzed skin and Mario has replicated it so well with a twist of his own creativity and skills, doing a perfectly flawless makeup for his celebrity clients. Now the trend for neutrals, smokey browns and warm coppery eyes have been grazing Instagram, Pinterest and Tumblr as most muas have been doing neutrals and no makeup makeup, plus the major contouring trend. In my part I still need to learn more and soon I'll be practicing and painting my friends' face and I'm excited to share it with you.

My take using Canon DLSR. In my honest opinion, I prefer using the back camera of my Samsung with flash on coz the true colors of my eyeshadow and lipstick really shows. I've had several pictures taken with DSLR and it didn't do any justice for my MOTD. I couldn't see the vibrant colors on my eyes and lips, but then my cheeks were flushing perfectly. Later I'll show you one photo taken using my cellphone.
This is my all time favorite makeup look from Kim and it's very much similar to the makeup look I did on my wedding day. It flatters any skin tone and since most colors were from brown and orange family, it doesn't look too much and it can create a sultry glow.. I saw the same makeup look during an interview with local celebs Maxene Magalona and Ellen Adarna having an interview with Tim Yap prior to my wedding in 2013, that's why it became an option for my bridal makeup.
picture taken using my Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime front camera

The MOTD's a combination of warm tones from my Sugar Skull Cosmetics Palette and to achieve this look I really have to contour a lot and warm up my skin with bronzers and peach blush. Since I'm not into sharp contouring I just used a darker powder instead of a darker cream concealer. I have layers and layers of eyeshadows mixed in together just to create the right color I saw on Kim. On my lips I even dabbed it with the same blush powder I used on my cheeks. Unfortunately if you can see the current situation of my Mac powder blush, your heart will definitely break. Mine did, when my son threw it up in the air and had an epic smash on the solid ground.

Using my cellphone's back camera with flash on, here's one good shot: pores and flaws visible.
Since Kim Kardashian's skintone is far different than mine, I didn't look so glowy and peachy and I already think my face looks too dark for using a lot of bronzer. Just a natural looking flush will do, and I also didn't use thick false eyelashes coz my eyes were already small, it'll automatically block my eyesight if my lashes were heavy. Overall, I'm in love with this makeup look, and it's something that I would wear everyday. I love how healthy I looked in pictures and makeups can really fake everything. Can you even tell that I'm anemic?
Thanks for reading lovelies and I hope y'all liked my MOTD. I'm thinking of more makeup inspirations and theme makeups and a little, just a little product review. Ciao~!

A Coachella Themed Party

It's a deep sigh that we don't have much festivals here during summer compared to what they have in there in America, and I'm also talking about the infamous Coachella that I've been dying to experience since I'm a concert/music festival lover. My cousin Atta told me there's a counterpart here in the Philippines called Wanderland, and we're still planning if we're gonna attend next year or not. Though the plan isn't that concrete yet, I had fun just tying a simple laid back Californian vibe when my bestfriend's younger sister had her 18th birthday Coachella style. Actually, I was the one who suggested it since they're aiming for a pool party. Most of my bestfriend's cousins were girls so it'll be nice to see flower headbands gracing their heads. It was just a simple celebration that became cuter since we're all game for a bohemian style.
Here's me on my way to the party surrounded by Jessa's balloons. I love this shot taken from the front camera of my Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime.

What I'm wearing that day is a boho inspired off the shoulder floral cropped top from Cotton On and I got it as gift from my bestfriend. It actually shows too much skin, the back part's open and the flowy lower part exposes my belly. I love it since it was hot that day my outfit made me feel more comfy. I just paired it with jeans since I think wearing it with mini skirt or short shorts is too much for a birthday party. Maybe if I'm in Boracay I'll pair it with super micro minis and all. Every girl in the party got flower headbands too. Mine's from Forever 21 and I picked it since it matches the flowers on my cropped floral top.
I also did the hair and makeup of the debutant. Jessa's like my younger sister, as I've seen her since she was less than a year old. My concept for her look is fresh, youthful and glowing. I used neutral colors for her eyes and soft curls for her hair. To perfect the bohemian/coachella girl style I finished off her hairstyle with of course a flower headband.
Makeover! I did my bestfriend's hair and makeup, and also my other friend Karen's soft glam look.
That day I also get to spend time and hang out with my high school friends. It's like we never get old and we're still as crazy as the old times. Laughter never ends and rude mouths filled the room where were staying in.

For my MOTD I chose most of the products from Mary Kay. I'm proud to tell everyone that I'm now an independent beauty consultant and soon I'll be attending several seminars and trainings related to skin care, colors and business and I've accepted a business opportunity. I'm so excited about it and it's making me really busy.

Here are my selfies and my skin's really glowing, and I was even told my skin's so flawless that day. With the right combination of Mary Kay products here's the result.

The night before I used the Timewise Miracle 3 in 1 cleanser, used the sample pack of Microdermabrasion set and finished it off with the Age defying moisturizer.

For my MOTD, here's the list of products I used:

Kluge Moisturizing Lipstick in Candy Peach

I love Sophie Paris Cosmetics and I've been their lipstick fan since 2009. I've tried two before and the shades were Hot Pink and Sexy Nude in a packaging that resembles that of Shu Uemura lipsticks. Whenever I mixed them together it gives off a vibrant barbie pink shade that I love. They've been discontinued but Sophie Paris continues to produce new packaging and formulation for their makeup line.

For today's lippie test it's Kluge Moisturizing Lipstick in Candy Peach. I want to concentrate on each lippie so I'll just post and review them one by one.

Kluge line's packaging is pretty and pink. It has a sweet, cute and princess-y type of vibe. The packaging even reminds of Etude House lippies. The lippie cap and the rest of the lippie's body is transparent pink in color. You have to twist the lippie to use it, and the scent is very feminine and bit strong but I don't care that much since I like it. The scent's it's not fruity at all and more of like floral, and it reminds me of the scent of imported expensive dolls. (Yes I used to sniff my toys)

The shade "Candy Peach' is the lightest or more likely close to nude with a tinge of peachy hue. It's almost similar to Etude House's Dear Darling Lipstick in BE101, except that BE101 is nude with a beige~brownish hue. Kluge lippies were very glossy and creamy. the pigmentation is good and lipstick appears to be sheer. You can even mix it up with matte lipsticks to help achieve a perfect glossy combination.
testng Kluge Candy Peach lipstick on my skintone. For reference I'm in  between MAC N25 and NC30
If you're in search of a perfect nude lipstick but scared of looking too washed up you can try this lipstick. It looks good both on fair and morena skin tone and best paired with neutral eyes for a natural daytime look or smokey brown eyes for a sexy night time look.

Photo taken with flash
Candy Peach can be your "my lips but better" type of lippie

I'm also recommending it to young girls who wants to wear a li'l bit of makeup but not ready yet for a bright lipstick or too glossy lipgloss. Kluge lipsticks were in between lipstick and lipgloss. Just pair it with a peachy toned blush and you're ready now for a natural daytime glow. It'll last for two to three hours, no stain will be left on lips.
Here's a selfie of my FOTD using Kluge Moisturizing Lipstick in Candy Peach paired with my favorite copper, bronze and gold combination from Makeup Geek, Mac cosmetics and Heroine Make.

Next up: Kluge Moisturizing Lipstick in Smooth Rosewood. Please look forward to that! Thanks for reading lovelies. Ciao!

American Flag Inspired Makeup

Just a short post for you lovelies!

My article with RebelsMarket about Patriotic Glam has been officially published on their blog and I had the opportunity to play with colors all belonging to the American Flag. If you have time you can read and find out the tips I shared, and the possible looks you can do with your eyes, whether you're ready for a loud look or just a simple one with still a touch of red, blue and white.
I'm also officially sticking to my interest as I'll be sharing more articles with RebelsMarket that are all concerned with beauty and cosmetics, and still a bit of subculture fash & style. Here's the compilation of eye photos I've used from famous beauty bloggers like my favorite Jangsara and more.

Weeks prior to my article being published, I posted a sneak peek on my Instagram about what I'm currently working on and the involved look.

Now here's my photo that was featured on my article. It's my selfie using the 5 megapixel front camera of my Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime (best selfie phone ever).

As a tip here's a peek of the products you can possibly use to achieve this look. Photo from my blog post "Patriotic Glam".

To further enhance the eye makeups and I would like to show all of you how bright it is, here's another shot using the 8 megapixel back camera of my phone with flash on. I swear I'm so in love with my new phone and it's so blogger-friendly.

But then of course for next month I'll be showing some love for my country as we'll be commemorating Independence Day. Color inspiration isn't too far from the American Flag coz I'll still be using red, blue and white with a touch of yellow.

For my American readers, have a happy long weekend for y'all!

Kiss Me by Isehan Heroine Make Jewelry Eyes

Summer hues and summer inspired color palettes were a must these days and I'm lucky enough to have my own Kiss Me Heroine Make Jewelry eye in Yellow Sapphire and Pink Amethyst. Yellow and pink for the eyelids? Yes! It's not the bright yellow and bright pink eyeshadows that you think, it's more on the sheer and shimmery side paired with glittery neutral eyeshadows on the same palette.
The eyeshadows were soft to touch, the texture and consistency were like the fusion of cream and mousse. In terms of color pay off and pigmentation, it's exceptional. The fine glitters can easily brighten the eyes, and the best part of it is that it has its own shimmery cream type base/primer. The eyeshadow primer itself is already glittery, then once the other eyeshadows were applied and layered on, brace yourselves for the explosion of glitters and pigments.

Available in four shades: Yellow Sapphire, Beige Gold, Pink Amethyst and
I have lots of ideas on how to wear them or what to pair them but I'm still too busy to recreate different look these days. Though I don't have much time to play with colors I often grab for the Yellow Sapphire palette for my everyday neutral eyes. Pink amethyst were actually meant for fair skinned girls but I prefer those with anything gold in it.

Swatches

Yellow Sapphire
It has pearl-white cream base, glittery vanilla eyeshadow for brow bones and outer crease, yellow gold eyeshadow for inner crease and dark silver eyeshadow for outer V and eyelining.

Pink Amethyst
It has pale pink cream base, white gold eyeshadow for outer crease and brow bones, baby pink glittery eyeshadow for inner crease and purplish grey eyeshadow for outer V and eyelining.

Thumbs Up

- it already has e a primer/eyeshadow base in one compact so the rest of the eyeshadow is guaranteed to stay in place sinc eit has something to adhere with. The primer also helps to make the colors pop out even more and intensifies the glitters.

- each shades complement each other for easier mixing and matching.
- there's a step by step procedure for the eyeshadow application at the back of its packaging so you'll know where to apply and which eyeshadow to use
-The applicator has dual purpose. The bigger flat one's for applying eyeshadow on the crease and browbones, while the pointed one's for outer v and eyelining.

- very pigmented and glittery

- It has a staying power and almost waterproof/rub proof. I tried to rub it off when I don't want the glitters anymore but nothing has changed, still glittery as ever.
- it's actually cheap, considering the good color pay off and quality.
- the lighter shades can be used as a highlighter. I used it for highlighting my brow bones, bridge of my nose, cheekbones and my lip's cupid's bow.

Thumbs Down
- the primer isn't those for oily eyelids coz it's cream type. there's a chance of eyeshadow creasing if used on oily lids.
- if you're not a fan of glittery and shimmery eyeshadows then this one's not for you.
- an oil based eye makeup remover's a must for removing those tiny glitters.

Fresh looking makeup if eye jewelries were used on eyelids, brow bone and cheekbones
My selfie of my FOTD using Kiss me by Isehan Heroine Make Eye Jewelry in Yellow Sapphire. All pictures were taken using my Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime phone ( my new blog buddy!)
I love the eyeshadows. I have a penchant these days for everything gold, and finally I've found a replacement for my old favorite eyeshadow from Maybelline (Eyestudio Diamond Eyeshadow) that has been discontinued. They're almost similar to each other, but Kiss Me eye jewelry's more glittery. Now my next wishlist is to buy Kiss Me Eye Jewelry in Beige Gold.

My cousin Atta Marie will soon be reviewing the Pink Amethyst palette on her blog, so watch out for that. Thanks for reading!
