Chocolate Cranberry and Mauve

Hi lovelies! I'm now sharing with you my second favorite makeup look of all time, thanks to my new Lacoste polo shirt that I've got from my husband a week before hearts day. I felt so inspired of creating a look that will match with the polo shirt's color and I've discovered the gorgeous result of mixing chocolate brown eyeshadows and berry hues, which I honestly never tried before. The result is perfect smokey eyes that definitely screams autumn, but it's still snowing on some areas so it might still be a bit in time for western countries. Here in the Philippines it's still a bit cool but were also about to expect the hot sauna-like weather a few weeks from now. Fortunately this look is still wearable, just tone it down a bit by pairing smokey chocolate brown eyes with just a simple pink lipstick. If you would want a darker look it's also perfect to pair it with purple lips. I wore this specific look when we celebrated hearts day together, the same day when we bought the Suesh makeup traincase. I've been receiving compliments from it, and husband definitely approves. He said it's beautiful. Prior to our mall date we went to the bank and some were looking at my eyes.
The combination of Makeup Geek Bada Bing eyeshadow is perfect with the cranberry shade I got from my Victoria's Secret Mosaic Eyeshadow palette in Eyecandy. It's like they compliment each other for a sexy smokey look. I've been wearing this look for almost 2 weeks now, and I still love it. I don't know why I'm into smokey eyes these days. Just a few weeks ago I just had my penchant for neutrals and I had a photoshoot for it which I will also post maybe a day after this so better check it out as well.

More pictures of my eye, just one eye. :) Just kidding. I've added falsies to it but then with or without it it's still fabulous.

The strong pigmentation of Makeup Geek eyeshadow in Corrupt is definitely shocking, but thanks to my hooded eyes a.k.a. Chinita eyes it can hide the rest of my crease so most smokey eye makeups still looks wearable for me during daytime, and and it never looks too much.

a shot from both sides of my face. I'm actually tired of just featuring the left side so here's a balance...

A lovely Valentines gift. So precious and for me they're actually priceless considering the happiness I felt, but then with or without gifts my heart's always happy and in love. In life, there are things money can't really buy. Suesh Makeup Traincase blog post here.

As soon as we reached home I got this shot and I just changed my lipstick into Mac Pink Nouveau and it still matches eyes, plus no eyeshadow creasing and fading. I'll be experimenting with more lip colors I could use and match with it. The fun thing about face painting: experimenting and discovering, then BAHM! There you go gorgeous creature.

And just so you know guys... please be reminded:
I'm back doing makeup service and for this month and I've done 7 heads, with 4 pending clients. Some were really generous coz I received more than my usual fee and free makeups, free food, though those weren't necessary I'm grateful and thankful... but then some were asking me to work on their budget..Unfortunately working on their budget means chopping the price of my actual fee in half. That's just so unfair. I take my craft seriously, and if I work on you, the other clients will also get the same treatment and service. I'm meticulous and I just don't want an "ok look". It's unfair not just for me but for other clients who are all willing to pay. Please be considerate, my future clients.

There goes my post, I have another article to work on which will be published asap. If you have any suggestions for good single eyeshadows in cranberry (please not Mac Cranberry) that's really shimmery and pigmented please let me know, I'm in search for them! TIA!

The Lipstick Tag

If there's one beauty product I'm really crazy about, they're lippies.
I'm always in search for the perfect one depending on my shade preference.
Lipsticks can really change your looks and mood, believe me.
I honestly carry more than 4 shades in my bag, just in case I want to change
my look or my mood. Since I'm fickle minded, my favorite lippie shade changes
every year.

Here's the Lipstick Tag that I enjoy answering, and even reading through
my fellow beauty bloggers' post. I'll be including a few pictures so that this post won't be boring and dull.

How many lipsticks do you own?
I honestly lost count. I started collecting lippies since I was in high school.
I've lost some, others were unfortunately stolen,
while others were now residing inside my cousins' purse.
Let me do a headcount by their brands.
(excluding lip tints, lip balms and lip glosses)

(3)  Estee Lauder in Mars & Creme De Marron
(3) Kirkland Borghese in Maple Glaze, rare Ruby and Plush Plum
(13) Avon in Island Glow, Pout, Vermillion, 24k Pink, Natural Gold, Golden Peach,
Pink Peach, Divine Wine, magic lipsticks in pink and red
(6) Maybelline Angel Rose, Cosy Tangerine, Pink Peach, Hypershine Diamonds in Ruby Diamonds, Plum Perfect, Baby Lips
(2) Wet n' Wild Think Pink, Nouveau Pink
(5) Nyx India, Dusty Rose, Hot Pink, Narcissus, Orange Soda
(7) Etude House VIP Girl PK006, Dear Darling OR204, OR205, PK009, PK 0012, PK 0014
(1) Victoria's Secret in Cutie Pie
(10) Mac including the Hello Kitty & Heatherette Collection
Russian Red, Pink Nouveau, Please Me, Shy Girl, Heroine, Big Bow, Miss Popular,
Glitz, Hollywood nights, Lollipop Loving
(6) Revlon in Nude Velvet, Soft Nude, Pink Pout, Nude Attitude, Champagne, Beyond Natural in Peach
(3) Nichido Pretty Tulip, Baby Chic, Berry Princess
(2) Sophie Paris Mango Peach, Summer Pink
(2) Ever Bilena Offbeat Pink, Mauvey
(1) Careline Magic Lipstick

Oh gosh, it's 64.. excluding those I've lost, and those that were stolen..

What was the first lipstick you owned?
I've had lipsticks from my mom and aunt prior to this one, but when you say "first"
then it has to be the one I bought with my own money.
It was in highschool and I really saved up my money for Maybelline
Watershine Diamonds Lipstick in Peach Flash.
I saw it from an ad when I bought my first Cosmo mag.
Since it was too glittery I couldn't wear it for school and another one
which is Blistex Lip Tone. I loved them. Maybelline got chunks of micro glitters that I sooo love. Blistex smells like chocolate, I even remember my friend Nelly licked it.
Sadly both were phased out. :(

What's your favourite lipstick brand?

I owned a few and it has the best consistency, texture,
finish and pigmentation. It's long lasting and smells like
those ice cream from Cold Stone. I love it not because it's pricey.
Who will like it when something's expensive? right? I want to save and buy cheap ones
as much as possible but with its quality, Mac has taken all my moolahs.
If I couldn't afford one I look for dupes and go for Nyx and Wet n' Wild.

What's your most worn lipstick?

Mac Please Me and Mac Shy Girl.
Both were good for an everyday natural glam look.
For a cheaper alternative with a pinky peach hue
I go for Maybelline's Lipstick in Angel Rose.

What is your favourite finish?

Matte. I've loved glosses and shimmers when I was younger,
but then I started hating them when I was still active in my dance org,
coz whenever my hair accidentally gets into my lips the gloss glides
all over my cheeks. Also, a matte lippie gives off more natural looking lips.

What was the last lipstick you bought?

It's Mac Heroine. I was really itching to get that goth purple lippie
but then I have to think several times
coz my cousin was making fun of me when I was swatching it
at the back of my hand. She's like, "you won't buy it, right?" then laughs

How many lip products do you currently have in your bag?
my bag at the moment: small xoxo hot to trot handbag filled with 5 lippies
from Mac, Etude House & Nyx. Yes, bag's already full.

As I've mentioned I carry 4 to 5 shades of lippie in case of emergency.
I know I sound weird.
If it's a big date or big event I carry
Mac Please Me, Mac Shy Girl, Mac Russian Red & Mac Pink Nouveau.
If it's just an ordinary day like hanging out with friends I carry lippies
mostly from Maybelline, or Revlon or Etude House or Nyx.

What is your favourite red lip colour?

Mac Russian Red. I swear its the best. I've received gazillion compliments
from it, and it's a real head turner from random strangers.

How do you store your lipsticks?

I have this small gold train case where I keep those that I rarely use,
and those most used were stored in the ice cream can from Yellow cab.
I also keep them somewhere out of my little cousin's reach.
She broke too many lippies already.

What lipstick is next on your wishlist?

Lime Crime's Geradium, a bright radioactive pink &
I heard it's a good dupe for Mac's Viva Glam Nicki plus
the packaging is gorg!

 What are your current favourites?

Mac Please Me
is my everyday gorgeous lippie.
Then I love mixing my other lippies together to create a gorgeous combination.
My current fave is the combo of my
Nyx Black Label Lipstick in India and Avon Lipstick in Island Glow.

What's your favorite lipstick packaging?

Most makeup addicts and enthusiast have to agree,
Mac Heatherette lippies were f*cking amazing.
Now Lime Crime produced purple versions with holographic unicorns on it
and I'm dying to get one.

Now if you happen to be as addict as me wen it comes to lippies
then I'm tagging you to do this and send me your link to your blog
so I can happily read yours!

Hair Problem Solved

I never had hair problems. I'm blessed with straight healthy hair. I remember my elementary classmates used to envy my long luscious locks, and how my college friends tell me my hair reminds me of a shampoo commercial.. that i just need to finger comb it, it was never messy. I was born bald, and I had my hair a bit long at the age of 3, so my mom decided to let my hair grow. At the age of 7, it was up to my waist. I had a perfect long hair with a natural reddish brown shade.

Til the age of 13 I kept that hair.I had the image of a white girl with long locks, then I got bored.I cut it, shoulder level. Since then, I had a hard time growing it long again.

my rinoa Heartilly inspired haircut way back in highschool.

I was already working when I started playing with hair dyes.. and hair bleach.
It's still healthy though, a bit dry on the tips, but still shiny and straight.

small  pics:copper blonde, bleach blonde, newly bleached hair,
large pic: tricia haircolor in red that I bought from Malaysia

Then I learned the power of scissors and cutting my own hair.I just don't know when to stop whenever it's in my hands. I've been blonde, gothic, and a mess (uneven color) when I tried blonde, I had a hard time matching it with my eyebrows, or even my makeup. General rule is that I shouldn't look pale or too washed out, it was tough.

I won L'oreal and Maybelline's big contest for cutting and dyeing my own hair.
http://hairinmanila.wordpress.com/tag/maybelline/

these were the goodies I received, but then I received something better than this coz they added a cat-eye mascara,  and the eyeshadow shades were in gold and green hues, which I love.

more hair evolution pics

I have love and hate relationship with black. Sometimes it looks good on me.
I love how it matches smokey eyes.. and the way it gives off a glam goth feel.

Dye..cut.. it has been a cycle for me, until I found out I'm expecting a baby and that's the last time I touched my hair. The last haircut I had was November 2012. Last time I dyed it red it that faded into Chestnut was February 2013. Since I was pregnant, so I had to stop everything!!

For almost a year I didn't touch it, now it's a mess. Top part (virgin hairs) were black, starting from the ear part it's light brown. EEEEKKKKKKKKKK!!!
It never happened to me, having my hair grow without retouching the color.
It's like an ombre hair gone bad, but my husband said it's beautiful. Oh well...

Look at the biggest relief I got when I saw this picture of my fave Kylie at the Believe premiere. My hair's almost like this!! I realized it's still pretty. But I have to dye it after a month or two. Old folks told me I should wait for 2 months. Second month will be January.

When curled, it's as pretty as this one.

Seeing her hair like this finally solved my problem, which means mine doesn't look too bad. I'm just worried that it looks awful, glad it isn't. At least my hair's not curly, wavy, fluffy or whatever you call it.. those are common problems for women, that's why having it rebonded is their option. Still lucky mine's silky straight. I think I'm gonna dye it black instead, once I have a chance. Most local celebrities are now dark heads like Anne Curtis & Solenn Heussaff.

Which color suits me best? how about my cut? My hair's too long now, I think it's an advantage of being too busy.I want to cut it but then my husband once again told me he loves my hair being long..

Next up I might be reviewing my December favorites.. These two lovely things are definitely included. Sephora's Customizable Smokey Collection Palette and Dolce & Gabbana The One Desire Eau De Parfum

What's In My Makeup Bag?

You have no idea how many eyeshadows, powders, brushes, lippies and mirrors I carry with me. When I was in highschool and college my pen's always missing, but my eyeliners were always complete, and never misplaced. Sometimes I even forget my notes at home,
but my book of eyeshadow palettes were never forgotten...

Makeup Kit last 2010

1.Avon Supershock mascara in black
2. Revlon eyelash curler
3. Estee Lauder eyeliner
4. eyebrow brush
5. lipbrush from Tinte cosmetics
6.Elf smudge brush
7. Barenaturals flat top brush
8. Tinte Cosmetics Matchbook in Natural Beauty
9. The Face Shop Cream Foundation
10. Lancome ColorFocus Self Select eyeshadow quad
11. that pie looking eyeshadow that I couldn't remember the brand

I used to love that Matchbook from Tinte Cosmetics in Natural Beauty that I bought at Beauty Bar for P1,600 pesos only and the Lancome Color Focus Self Select eyeshadow quad from my bezzie.

More makeups that I alternately use before, some were prizes from Maybelline and L'oreal
when I won for Hair in Manila's contest last 2010.

When I was working my makeup kit has doubled. Sometimes I carry everything I can,
coz whenever I have free time I put makeup on, take a selfie and blog.

It's my office table way back 2012. That flowery tangerine makeup bag's from Clinique,
and was given by my aunt who gave the same Louis Vuitton's Spring 2002 Collection White Multicolour/Murakami Monogram Speedy 30 bag. I told everyone in the office that the bag's fake every time they ask me if it's authentic. I don't want to overwhelm them like why I use such thing and I seldom use it. But it isn't. It's actually the original LV Speedy 30.

Aunt bought it before the knockoffs were sold in the market. I'm still thankful she gave it to me, of all the people that she knew. The first time that I saw this bag, I think I was in highschool. I don't care much about LV that time. Seeing it again, it didn't look old, and it's more than 10 years old.
What's more important than that bag was the piece of advice she gave me and it really did change some of my plans in life, love and career. Aunt currently resides in California.
I just see her once every 2 years, or twice a year.

Another office table shot! Yes I do share my makeups with my office mates.I even received gifts from them. That Chanel kit was given by Ate Janice, my friend who used to work with Elizabeth Arden at Duty Free Cosmetics aisle. There's more that wasn't even reached by my cam.You have no idea.

Now that I'm preggo I've decided to minimize everything! I only carry the important ones, but they still seem plenty for a small purse.

Purse from: Marithe Francois Girbaud

What's inside my purse?

1. Revlon Eyelash curler
2. Victoria's Secret Dream Angels miniature perfume
3. Clinique eyeshadow and blush quad
4. Mac Heatherette Compact replaced with a dual powder foundation
5. Maybelline Clearsmooth Mineral Blush in Original rose
6. Etude House Shini Star Lipbalm in Guava
7. L'oreal Hip Eyeshadow brush
8. Elf Stippling brush
9. Barenaturals Flat Top brush
10. Kirkland Borghease Eyebrow brush
11. Jazzy Collection Cream Foundation
12. Johnson's baby lotion
13. Nyx Lipstick in Dusty Rose

I even customized my own palette that I can easily carry around, travelling, sleepovers at my father in law's house, anywhere.I depotted neutral eyeshadows and a few pink and peach blushes. Some were from my Kirkland Borghease palette, Sugar Skull Cosmetics 88 Earth Palette, and single eyeshadows that I got from the past.

When I was still a student nurse all the essential things for the patient should be at bedside.
Well, my bedside's like this at the moment, a few weeks from now it'll be different
and all my makeup stash will be there. ^_^ I feel sorry for my husband.

The scent that I'm loving at the moment: Heiress.I've been sniffing this scent from my bestfriend for years and years but I don't like it that much. Now my pregnant brain told my
olfactory nerve that this one's the best, aside from Purr by Katy Perry.

By the way go and check it out! I'm lovin' these accessories from Sweet Frostings.
