Market Place For Your Subculture/Alternative Preference: The RebelsMarket

Finally! Three of my articles have been finally published on RebelsMarket blog site.
I've been very blessed because I'm one of those lucky bloggers that have been discovered
by the owner of this marketplace in the U.S. last year. I was about to write for them around July of 2013 but my laptop malfunctioned. It's just now that I have time and I have a new desktop to use for blogging again.

I've been discovered when I posted my article regarding Music Meets FashionI was just expressing myself coz I was thinking why my fashion sense is quite different. A few months later I received a message from my business account and at first I thought it was a spam, virus or prank. Then after a few conversation with the owner, I found out they're real.

Check out their Official Facebook Page:

RebelsMarket is a place where you can shop for subculture and alternative clothing and accessories. They're divided into different categories, there's for Burlesque, Pin-up, Vintage, Gothic and more subculture stuffs and categories you could ever imagine. (Hah! I freaking love it) I really enjoy writing articles for them. I learn so many things about my weird preference, and I also I experience sense of belonging while writing, then a sense of accomplishment every time I see my articles being published.

Here's a screen cap of my first two articles. First is about the influence of music and musicians to different group of peoplesecond is Street Goth which is very popular among rappers these days.

the third's the latest and my favorite among the three: It's all about Pastel Goth.

I couldn't give you guys any tips on how to become a good writer coz I don't think I'm good either. I just blog. I post whatever's on my mind. I don't blog to flatter a certain company or to promote them coz I want them to notice me. I think readers will believe you if you yourself have tried and tested what you are blogging about. I don't care if I'm grammatically correct or wrong, so I don't give a fuck about those grammar nazis. I don't give a shit if I'm different from others. Just be yourself. Be real. Say whatever's on you mind.

"I don't give a fuck"

Still balancing my time time, talk about STRUGGLE. Struggling coz I've got 2 more online jobs that require time management and one managerial skills. I didn't see all of it coming at the same time, but I do love what I have now, these are the jobs that I've always wanted.
My cosmetics business is about to boom.. hah! another one. I've got several orders to process for this month. I can do it. Somebody should take care of my little Draven first,
then I'm good.

Well, what do you think about my articles with RM lovelies?

Vampire Makeup: The Dark Shadows Victoria Winters

I've been always a fan of dark, mysterious gothic concept of Tim Burton's movies,
from The Nightmare Before Christmas to Alice in Wonderland.
He's a genius director and his creativity has no limitations.

He's known for making quirky movies and for collaborating with his bestfriend,
Johnny Depp, musician David Elfman and his domestic partner Helena Bonham Carter.
I'm looking forward to see 3 of Tim Burton's new film.
The Dark Shadows, Frankenweenie and The Nightmare Before Christmas in 3D.
3 movies for 2012!

I've been constantly telling my boyfriend that I really want to see the Dark Shadows.
Well at first he doesn't like it, but then, I had few conflicts at home,
had been in a bad mood and been constantly crying and not eating that weekend
and he seems to be so bothered and told me we're gonna see the last full show of that movie.
Of course it made me happy!!!!!
My weekend, after having too much drama finally ended in a good way.
**It's because I told my mom I wanna work in Singapore with my 2 bestfriends.
As soon as my plans started to get better
my mom backed out and told me to stay.**

The movie's good, not as fantastic as the Corpse Bride or Edward Scissorhands,
but the twist and the story itself is fresh and unique.
It's a famous opera now made into a movie.
Johnny Depp portrayed the role of Barnabas Collins,
who was born in Liverpool in 1700s, got cursed due to being a playboy,
became a vampire and imprisoned for almost 200 years inside his casket.

The way he speaks using old English is quite funny and amusing.
I can't tell if he' already cursing or just giving his speech.
The movie's fun and I was laughing my heart out.
I learned how to say "kiss my ass" without saying it rudely.

I posted in my personal social networking site that
I wanted to get Nyx's latest palette which is inspired from the movie itself.
The next day my best friend gave me 3 lipsticks and shades that
are perfect for achieving a vampire look!! Now I don't want this palette anymore.

Lippies are from Kirkland Borghese.  Shades are Ruby Red, Maple and Plum

The makeups used in the movie are really good.
I always wanted to become a professional makeup artist,
but not for runways or fashion shows.
Instead, I want to work for special effects for films and movies.
I tried to search for makeup schools for it, but unfortunately
it's only available in America.

I want to try Barnabas Collins' makeup to see if I can really do the same effects
but unfortunately it's not wearable and I will look like a freak walking around like this.
For the makeups used on him, I found out that this look is created by a makeup artist
named Joel Harlow and it involves paling the skin, creating and applying a prosthetic bridge
to the nose, pointed ear pieces, hollowing the eyes, vampire teeth,
creating a wig with odd strands for a fringe and creating false nails and longer fingers.
This is such a big accomplishment for an artist.
Makeup can change everything. I can even make myself look sick or healthy if I want to.

Spoiler Alert: At the end of the movie Victoria Winters did the same thing
that Barnabas Collins' ex-girlfriend did. Since they are cursed, she jumped off
the same cliff where Barnabas and his ex jumped 2 centuries ago.
This time, Victoria lived but she turned into a vampire.
I fell in love with her vampire makeup look.
Pale skin, dark hollow eyes, dark cyanotic lips.

I think my take for Victoria's makeup is kinda fail.
Mine's wearable and not dark enough, no major cheek contouring and
hollowing of eyes coz I wore it and walked around the office looking like this. ^^
I even scare my student Bloom through my video class with her.^^
You can also say that it's more on Bella Cullen look..
At least it's still vampy. :)

If I will add a photo effect like decreasing the temperature and
make it cooler just like what you see from any vampy movies and series,
it will turn out to be like this:

According to Psychology, if a person is into anything dark and gothic,
admires withered trees and moonlight,
he or she is most likely suffering from sadness or depression.

I'm not in denial coz most of the time I'm happy, I'm loud and noisy,
but whenever I see something like withered trees on Tumblr
I feel really calm and I'm astonished.
I really want to experience autumn to see how beautiful falling leaves are,
and I really admire the beauty of moonlight.
Once, my aunt and I have tried what we call as "moon bathing"
and it's such an awesome experience.
It happened right after an eclipse in 2004 and we brought our blankets outside.
They don't have much neighbors that time, and you will just see trees and streets.
It's so bright and everything around you is bluish and peaceful.

Enough for this depressing dark story!!!
We gotta support two 3D movies from Burton this October!
I'm soooo looking forward to it and I want my younger cousins to see
it as well. My boyfriend's been a fan of Jack Skellington since he was little.
I'm gonna take him out for a treat.

Another remake of Tim Burton's 1984 short film,
a dog that comes alive named Frankenweenie.

Soon I will also try a wearable version of Emily's look in Corpse Bride.
Blue Eyeshadow, eye contouring, pink lips.
Again, it's gonna be wearable coz it's going to be "inspired look" only.

The Cullens Inspired Look and some reviews about Breaking Dawn Part 1

I'm not a Twihard and to tell you honestly I used to think it sucks.
While my friends were busy talking and swooning about Edward Cullen,
I was too busy googling all day and listening to my beloved Korean pop stars.
I didn't get into the hype easily coz first of all, I don't read books,
and when I saw the movie, I didn't like it.
It looks so low quality and experimental.

The Twilight movie itself,
which is first directed by Catherine Hardwicke,
is obviously low budget, more of like an indie film.
The wardrobes were not stylish, makeup sucks (not blended well)
and it's more of like HAPPY FOUNDATION day to the Cullens.

It's really sad coz when I tried to read the book
I realized that it's really awesome but the movie just killed it.
When they changed the director of New Moon to Bill Condon,
the movie started to look better.
For the movie New Moon,
of course the story from the first movie Twilight's better,
but for the effects, makeups and styling I give props to New Moon.

I started to like the saga after watching Eclipse.
The effects and casts were amazing.

It's Boo Boo Stewart's first appearance too!
He plays as Seth Clearwater.

If some of you don't know,
he is of Japanese,
Chinese and Korean descent
from his mother’s side,
and Russian, Scottish and Native American
from his father's side.

KORRREEAAAN Blooood..

Breaking Dawn Part 1 hands down is such a good movie.
Most of the scenes are exactly what I pictured and imagined,
especially Island Esme and swimming at the moonlight scene.

Also, it's the only book that I read from cover to cover.
I read a few pages from Twilight and maybe two pages from New Moon.
The movie itself is really good.
The story is really grown up,
and of course it's the wedding scene
that drove every girls and women frenzy!!
That's the only reason why I'm so excited to see it too.

Every woman's dream is to get married,
and have a spectacular wedding.
First few seconds of the movie is like this.

What are my expectations from the wedding scene?
Kinda like the wedding that I wanted for myself.
A simple but dark, meadow or forest wedding.
Crimson colored roses are everywhere.

In the movie there are two wedding scenes.
One is a nightmare and one is the real thing.

I prefer the nightmare.
That's the hardcore vampire wedding that I was really expecting.

Also, I don't like Bella Swan's hair on the real wedding scene.

and doesn't she looked
too haggard and sleepless?
According to the book she looks really pretty
and not even a single hair is out of place.
Hell yeah in the movie her hair's a mess.
The movie is really moving.
You'll really appreciate the sanctity of marriage,
and how important to marry the right person.
It will make you feel how important it is to love and be loved,
and the nerve wracking feeling of your first night together.
yeah he broke the bed.

So people, please marry the right person.
That fantastic whirlwhind feeling is rare.
My favorite soundtrack called
"Flightless Bird / Iron and Wine"
also played when they were exhanging vows
 and it gave me goosebumps.

Bella's gown looks simple in front,
but it screams
party at the back..

Wedding Dress from Carolina Herrera

The birthing scene is really scary.
When Bella turned into a bony creature
it was scary as shit!!!!
She even broke her spine!
I knew it will happen but not hardcore!
It's really freaky!!
She didn't even close her eyes.. oh lordy..

To feel the vampire vibes going on as it is expected
that Bella Swan will open her eyes like an avatar and
will turn into a vampire,

I tried to do a Cullen Inspired look before seeing the movie.

Of course I need to see the movie with my boyfriend, and I invited my cousins as well.
We really did enjoy the last full show at the nearest mall. Too bad everyone's busy, we could've seen it in a better mall.

I really love the makeups used on her!!!
Still trying my best to figure out
which eyeshadow and lippie shades
will turn out to be like this.

According to the movie Vampires Suck,
it's now the era of vampires.

Everything dark, gothic, pale, bloody and freaky are in.
Werevolves, crimes, witches, that's the trend nowadays.

I personally like this concept,
since black is my favorite color of all time.
I remember back in the day
when I used to match
my black eyeshadow
with my plum lipstick.

If there's one vampire series that I particularly like,
it's Vampire Diaries.
Ian Somerhalder is one hot Vampire.
In my honest opinion,
Vampire Diaries is more mature.
Twilight's more on teen romance.
I'm not a teenager anymore so
I prefer mature storylines.

I just hope Harry Potter fans should
stop feeling bitter
about Twihards especially on Tumblr.
Both movies and books were good.

Actually,
Harry Potter is very much appreciated by elementary students
and Twilight Saga are for highschool students.

Both were good but I think bashing online must stop.

Too bad we have to wait for a year for the second part.
I already knew what will happend for part 2.
Since the wedding and honeymoon's over
I'm not excited anymore.

Trivia: The baby used in the movie is Charlie Swan's real son.
Yup, it's a baby boy ^_^
