Vampy Look: Purple and Plum

Hello there! My follow up blog post didn't take that long, unlike what I have thought. Now I'm sharing with you another short post about my take on fall makeup. It's like almost every year I wear plum lips just to celebrate and welcome fall season, though I ironically we never had fall/autumn in this tropical country. I just love those dark colors that perfectly fits with cold season. Fortunately in this hot county no one can stop me from rocking dark vampy lips and smokey eyes. Everyone should deal with it, for me it's the way of life.

I've seen a lot of fall/autumn makeup looks early in September and I've planned ahead on what shades to mix together to create my own interpretation of fall/autumn. Though I wish I had plenty of time layering it on and blending it more. It still turned out pretty nice though.

Before I did my makeup I also tested my ring light and I've decorated my background, but the lights weren't very visible enough. I've mentioned from my previous post that my ring light is just D.I,Y. and it's composed of 8 light bulbs. My dad did the wiring and wood cutting. I'm so thankful how supportive my dad was. He even bought all the materials needed. He actually wants me to stop with my other job and focus on doing makeups, blogging and in the future, vlogging. He said I'm more successful when it comes to doing my passion rather than doing other things. Well, to be honest, I've earned so much money and recognition though dancing and doing makeups. Now I'm so determined to improve my craft and learn more things that still relates to makeup and dancing.

Beautiful Creatures "Ridley" Inspired Makeup

So I'm into Glam Goth these days and I came across this film a month ago, as my sister in law have suggested. We had a marathon with my laptop and decided to watch two flicks,
Beautiful Creatures and Warm Bodies. Both movies were good, romance was there.. girly with a twist. The costumes, props and makeups were all too damn awesome for Beautiful Creatures, however I didn't like the story that much. As for Warm Bodies, I really love it.
It's funny. touching, freaky and scary at the same time. I love the twist too.I always have this recurrent dream of being chased by zombies, and I'm really scared of the idea of the zombie apocalypse.

Going back to Beautiful Creatures, the story's based from a book. I remember last year a saw a promotional poster of it at the MRT station. I saw vines, and that infamous gothic gate that I really love. While watching the movie I was thrilled to see my husband and I's dream house. The Ravenwood house.

The idea of an old gothic look with vines came from him, while the black and white interior were from me. Wish we could build it asap.

The dinner scene's quite amusing for me coz I love the creativity they did using twigs and withered trees.

Emily Rossum, the actress who portrayed Ridley reminds me of Angelina Jolie and Gwen Stefani. She's really hot and her role's quite bad ass. How I wish I can also cast that seducing - kill -yourself spell on males, coz there really are guys that I want to drown in the water.

For my Ridley Duchannes FOTD, here's  the list of  products I used:

Face
Jazzy Cream Foundation
Sugar Skull Cosmetics 10 Correct and Conceal Palette
Fashion 21 Two Way Powder Foundation
Christian Dior Two Way Powder Foundation

Eyes
Sugar Skull Cosmetics 120 Rainbow Palette
Sephora Smokey Collections Makeup Kit
Christian Dior Pencil Eyeliner in Noir
Christian Dior Diorshow Mascara
Etude House Code B Gel Eyeliner

Cheeks

Maybelline Mineral Blush in Original Rose

Lips
Sugar Skull Cosmetics 66 Lip Palette

I'm also inlove with Ridley's black dress, it reminds me when Givenchy, Valentino and Gucci went Goth for Fall.

She's wearing black lace Sue Wong dress.

How do you find Emily Rossum's role as Ridley? what about her dress? :)

If you're a real horror freak I would like to recommend that movie that gave me a sleepless night and nightmares. Thanks to my husband, I discovered the film Evil Dead.

Dark Vampy Lips: Fall-Winter 2013 Beauty Trend

Fall has always been my favorite season, coz every cosmetic company releases an ad for their combo of dark eyeshadows, lippies and nail colors.Don't get me wrong, there's no such thing as four seasons in the Philippines.I just love it everytime the western country releases something for autumn.

Dark, vampy, plummy, mulberry, burgundy, wine, cranberry lips, as they called it, gives off a cool and gothic impression, a perfect feel for autumn's falling leaves and withered trees. The blue tone of plum lips complement a pale, cold and clammy skin.

Revlon has released their latest line with Emma Stone and Olivia Wilde

Mac Cosmetics released Riri hearts Mac Collection

Hollywood celebrities were seen sporting the color trend for 2013
during red carpet events.

Even my favorite young star Kylie Jenner wore dark lips for the red carpet event
of Catching Fire.

To get Kylie's look try Riri Hearts Mac Lipstick in Talk that Talk.

I've have a few shots of dark lips and I usually do it when Halloween/Christmas is approaching, coz the breeze is colder and it's more gloomy. For 3 consecutive years the vampy lip's a must.

2013

Though this year had been so busy and crazy,It's still not too late to take a snapshot
of my 2013 vampy lips.(no time for camwhoring with a digital camera)

I mixed two lippies:
Mac Hello Kitty Lipstick in Most Popular and
Kirkland Borghese Lipstick in Rare Ruby

Don't forget JaneVolturi's vampy lips! i love it.

Any suggestion for more awesome plum lipsticks that you love?
Let me know!
