Ever Bilena Limited Edition Matte Liquid Lipsticks

Hello! last blog post was dated around May, my apologies for being too lazy these days. I actually have tons of makeups to blog, just there sitting in my vanity cabinet. I'll try to post more before nearing my due date, coz when the baby comes, surely there will be no time for primping and blogging.

Now here's another long overdue post about my three new pocket friendly liquid lippies. They've been sitting in my DIY organizer for so long I already gave the other one to my friend and partner hmua Ate Janis. Still I've kept some photos and I dunno why in the world was I too lazy to even transfer it to my laptop. Now my story's about to start.

A month ago I received my product payment as a guest makeup artist from MAC Cosmetics and I've picked so many lippies in different shade and finish, including one Retro Matte Liquid Lipstick. As much as I want to use them everyday or whenever I feel like using it heaven knows it's too costly, and too much for strutting around the room wearing the infamous Velvet Teddy then just slumber off.
For my favorite everyday MLBB (my lips but better shade) I go for Velvet Teddy, Runway Hit or Lady be good, so the fancy me is looking for cheaper alternative, a lippie that is still way cheaper than my fave Sleek Birthday Suit or BYS Bare Beauty.

One time I was alone at the mall and the itch to buy one lippie attacked. I don't want to shell out 500 bucks and up so I challenged myself to just look for a "good" (sorry my standard for a lippie's pretty high) liquid lipstick that's only 250 bucks or below. I'd be lucky enough if I find one.

These are limited edition hence there's LTD written on the tube.
Since I'm preggy I couldn't walk much further, blame my weak hips, so I ended up at Watson's (exciting right?) and all I can do is look for hidden treasures from those available local brands. To be honest I'm a fan of local brands. I've been using some of them for a decade and they've improved their formulations and packaging that can definitely compete now with international or rather luxury brands.

The new display of liquid lipsticks at Ever Bilena caught my attention seems the packaging is somewhat identical to Etude House Lip Tints and Maybelline Vivid Mattes. The caps matched the shade of each lippies but their real color depends on your skintone and layering. Honestly I wasn't a fan of their first glossy liquid lippies, the one with a white cap.

Trying out several shades I go for my favorite nudes or those that are close to my natural lip color. I ended up swatching Private Beach, Skinny Dip, Hotel Heiress and Cashmere Blush. They didn't dry out that quickly on my hands when it was already been an hour so I wasn't that sure if I'll go for it or not. I'm a sucker for matte finish, highly pigmented ones that dries instantly. I tried strolling around for a few more mins and decided to get "Skinny Dip". They're only 180 pesos so I don't think it's a total waste of money if I didn't get it. I wore and tested it on my lips as soon as I get to the restroom (coz there's no way you should apply testers directly on your lips) and I was shocked with the formulation, texture, color pay off and staying power. It dries instantly as soon as I applied it on my lips. A few weeks later, I bought Cashmere Blush and Private Beach.

What made me liked it instantly is that it isn't sticky as I expected it to be. It happened to be mousse-type that reminds me of Nyx Soft Matte Lip Creams with better staying power. Transfer proof, Kiss proof and rub proof but as soon as you start eating and drinking more it rubs off at the center part. It's fine with me, for 180 pesos I don't expect much, it just saves me from reapplying many times a day as long as I don't eat much. But with my growing belly who cares if I had nothing on after. I gotta feed.

L-R: Private Beach. Cashmere Blush, Skinny Dip
Private Beach is a nude beige shade. Pale as soon as I apply it, but the color develops more after a few mins, and turns into nude brown on me with a slight tinge of peach. To make it more wearable I apply it under Mac's Spice Lip Liner.

Cashmere Blush appears to be bright peachy pink upon swatching, but turns out Barbie pink on my lips. though the tube seems just a bit darker to Skinny Dip, the real color of it is somewhat different and I'm a bit disappointed. Maybe it's not that flattering on me since I'm not into bright lips these days, but it's perfect for bridal makeups and for bridesmaids. I gave this one out to my friend Ate Janis and it's perfect on her, not too bright and striking unlike how it turned out on my lips.

Skinny Dip can be described as a dusty rose shade, exactly how I expected my Kylie Lip Kit in Posie K to turn out on my lips but it didn't. In terms of shade I dig Skinny Dip more, and one of my go to fave and my current MLBB lippie.

Definitely raving this one, and I carry it almost everyday and anywhere.
Here's me with my Ate Janis wearing Skinny Dip.
We're at Mac Cosmetics Mall of Asia to claim something wonderful!
Here it is! The event's gonna be tomorrow so surely I'll be sharing what happened
with you asap!
Thank you for reading lovelies. My liquid lippie collection's continuously growing, and the shades were always identical with each other. I'm sorry if I couldn't help it. As you can see, I have more to blog about... If I won't be lazy within the week then my reviews for Kylie Lip Kits, Mac Retromattes, Nyx Lingerie and more will follow.

Thanks for reading! Ciao!

My Recycled Makeup Organizer

Acrylic Organizers were so in these days for every makeup addict that loves organizing their makeups and at the same time enjoys seeing each items that they got since acrylics were transparent. I do have a few that can hold lippies and other eye shadows and powders but I had to take extra care for them since they crack easily. Some of my everyday and most used makeups don't even fit in.

A few weeks ago I received 1 kg box full of chocolates from my best friend Kitty from Singapore. That wonderful box contains all my fave sweets in the world. Name it. Twix, Kitkat, two jars of Nutella and Ferrero Rocher, and more sweets. I'm afraid my blood sugar levels will suddenly rise as I approach second trimester. I honestly never liked sweet food, but my pregnant brain keeps controlling my taste buds.

I didn't know my son will love Ferrero Rocher and he finished eating almost 25 pieces of it in just two days. Since Ferrero's packaging is of high quality, it's such a waste to just throw it away. Somehow it reminds me of my makeup organizers and suddenly had a brilliant idea of keeping it as my very own acrylic makeup box.

I used it to organize my most used and everyday makeups, since I have to separate those I use personally from those I use for makeup service. I don't have time to remove the logo so I replaced it with my Beauty Bound Asia sticker.

What's Inside it? Mostly MAC makeups of course, since I really swear by it. The shades were mostly neutrals since we're talking about my everyday/go to holy grail products. My Fix sprays and foundie bottles don't fit in, but I have a separate container for them. My other lippies were stored in my other acrylic containers for lippies and powders. You can also use it to store makeup brushes, palettes and jewelries.

Products Inside: Clarins Instant light lipbalm perfector, Becca Shimmering Pressed Powder in Chmapagne Pop, Mac Studio Fix Powder in NC25, Mac concealers, Mac blushes in Fleur Power and Harmony, Mac Browset in Red Chestnut, Mac browliners in Lingering and Brunette, Mac Lip liners in Spice, Naked and Boldly Bare, Mac pro Twisted Mascara, Mac Eyeliners in Smoulder and Stubborn Brown, Mac eyeshadows in Espresso, Texture and Tempting, and my favorite Mac lippies in Lady Be Good, Runway Hit, Kinda Sexy and Velvet Teddy.

Now my makeup's easier to access and just looking at it is a total eye candy. I rarely go out these days so they're also rarely used. I actually want to add up more retro matte liquid lippies since I fell instantly in love with Lady Be Good.

Time to recycle ladies and I'm sure you'll love to do the same. I might get more Ferrero Rocher since I hit two birds with one stone with it. :)

Halted Gigs And The Main Reason

Hello! How you doin' ladies? So upon checking my last blog post it was dated February, and now is a long over due post. Aside from the fact that I'm too lazy these days, the real reason that has been pulling me back (yup including my brain and my fingers) from writing a new article is my current sensitive condition. I'm currently 16 weeks preggo! Yes another baby on the way and we're really excited, however the preggo problems started to make me more dysfunctional, as I was diagnosed last month and admitted for experiencing such terrible condition for soon to be mommies: the frightening Hyperemesis Gravidarum, which simply means severe nausea and vomiting with food aversion resulting to dehydration. I'm a bit fine now, headaches were still an everyday occurrence that I have to endure, though nausea has miraculously diminished. It was hard, I was so ill for three months that my makeup gigs and guesting were halted for a moment. I haven't been out for almost three months.

It's hard, as much as I want to go out or just blog my heart away or put some makeup on, I'm too lazy that I'd rather stay at home, roll up in bed with my first born Draven and pig out all day. It saddened me that I had to cancel my March to May makeup gigs. I was booked for graduation makeup, weddings and more, but I had to say no coz I know for sure I really couldn't make it. I also had wedding inquiries this June to July and I have to refer them to my fellow MUAs instead.

Don't worry as soon as the baby's out by late October or early November, I'll be back with guestings and gigs, jampacked with my new MAC makeups and new tools. I even got better plans by next year so this year's the only time to rest.

As soon as I feel better I might start blogging and do MOTDS for myself or for other people.
I'll hone up my skills while I'm idle.

Thanks for reading lovelies! I'll take a rest now!

January ~ February Guestings at MAC Cosmetics

Hello everyone! It's 2017 and I still couldn't keep my sh*t together! Anyways what's new?
The hectic yet dreadul and fun December left me extremely exhausted til January, but it's such a nice welcome for a new year to be back at my favorite playground/beauty haven.

Yep I'm talking about M.A.C. Cosmetics.
I was thrilled once again to receive a call and a request for duty from my Estee Lauder/MAC family.
I've already notified the HR head that come January and I'll be working with them as a guest once again. So for January I had two guestings with my MAC Family at Alabang Town Center.

The fun part? I was with pro mua Marsie whom I haven't seen for a long time. The bonus part is that I get to chat with pro mua Jazel Vergara and we clicked right away. Also, I had a great time hanging out with M.A.C. Artist Marybelle, Bobbi Brown muas Neal Vicente and Jacob Guatiz  and Fredah of Hermes plus Miss Estee of Estee Lauder.

I had two guestings with M.A.C Alabang and there's another thrilling thing that happened when February came. I received a message from the Store Manager of M.A.C. SM Mall of Asia for another guesting, another home! :) Thanks again to my sis Marsie La Sangre. I got this wonderful referral from her.

This time, I've had a total of 10 guestings with them, the most I've had for a month and it was such a good training ground for me. M.A.C. Mall of Asia is more dynamic since the store's bigger.

You'll encounter more foreigner, yep really from Asian countries to American, African and European. My skills have definitely hone up more since I've experienced working with NW tones, plus it helped me speed up my makeup application for each client. Did I mention I'm more confident now to work with their product and my wishlist to have all those dreamy MAC makeups were too long.

I get to test more products and use it on my clients, I was also given a sales quota and a product payment in return that I will request by the end of the month and probably receive it a month or two from now. If you wanna ask how much is the product payment, it's a whopping 2,500 worth of prod per day! :)

It was definitely such a blessing and I was asked by my fellow muas how to become a guest artist, I've tried to help some but still the decision for their stores to ask for your guesting still relies with their head office at Estee Lauder Cosmetics. I've referred a lot but they're still on the waiting list. Please be patient and soon you'll all experience to become one. I've posted on my previous post the responsibilities of a guest and the perks. You can read it here: My Experience As A MAC Guest Artist

One thing I love about being a M.A.C. Artist that I'm also experiencing though I'm a guest is that you get to wear the most stylish black clothes you have and the most bad ass beat face. You are actually required to wear the most impeccable look as YOU ARE A MAC ARTIST. You are also treated fairly as a regular MAC Artist with your fellow co-artist and bosses.

One of my fave outfits of all time:

My MOTDs

Heart's day at the store! Red rose from my husband :)

I'll be blogging more about my guesting and soon I hope it's all about my new MAC products! Looking back from my previous blog posts (back when I first started blogging) I've always wanted to be where I am now. You just don't quit on your dream (though I wanted to quit many times). All we need is a little "push". Ciao!
XOXO, Miss Vixen
